Madison County Distillery (MCD) is a family-owned craft distillery located in Central New York, near Syracuse. The distillery is located just outside of the Village of Cazenovia, on a property formerly known as “The Maples”. The primary partners of MCD include Retired U.S. Air Force Lieutenant General Michael Basla, and his son, Adam Basla.
The distillery is hosted in a 5,000 square foot gable barn, with an interior finish boasting the reclaimed wood from a barn that was located on the former dairy farm. There is a production room with a pot still manufactured by Carl Artisan Distillery Systems in Germany. A lower level tasting room and an upper level loft with seating and space for private events complete the facility.
